“Right Just and Fair”

David Jebb (Chartered Financial Planner & Director) explains why the company motto is “Right, Just and Fair”
The combination “Right, Just, Fair” (or equitable) is specifically found in Proverbs 2:9. It is how I aspire to conduct business.
In 1980 George Lowden became a client and friend. Subsequently I lost my investment in helping George set up a company. You can read about this on George Lowden's own web site. Today George is the best guitar maker in the world and yet that early venture failed.
Devastated at that time, a friend told me that the Proverbs are the book of wisdom. I needed wisdom, so for a number of years I read nothing else and became impacted by the need to do business in a way that was “right, just and fair”.
As life has gone on I am beginning to understand God's hand behind the scenes, and that “right just fair” will not fully happen until the Lord's Prayer is fufilled:
"thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as in heaven"
The Kingdom has yet to come, but in the meantime we have a standard to aim at.
